Hidden Under The Water: The Beauty of The Lost Chinese City

At the bottom of the artificial lake Qiandao in China was found the ancient lost city Shi Cheng or the Lion City.  The city has the size of more than sixty football fields. Archeologists think that the Lion City was built in 25-220 year BC at the foot of the Mountain of Five Lions. Modern people are still unable to visit the city, because it is buried at the bottom of the lake, forty meters under the water. The Lion City used to have five gates, each of which had a tower. Before it drowned, the city had had six main streets. Ornate statues and figurines that are carved on the building of the city were discovered, when National Chinese Geography published photos taken by archeologists who in 2001 came across the Lion City.
